Grinders Cafe is a gourmet burger restaurant
in Kobe, Japan that serves freshly ground
burgers and sandwiches as a healthy
alternative to the mass produced fare you
normally find at fast food chains.
My client wanted their restaurant to look like it
originated from the Bay Area in Nothern CA.
With that in mind, I came up with a logo in the
spirit of the American diner, as well as a 600
sq. ft. digital mural printed on high-quality
indoor sticker to be used as wallpaper for the
restaurant’s interior. To complete the look, I
translated the logo into a double-faced, neon-
lit sign which I had manufactured in the
Philippines then shipped to Japan.
